THE DESIGN
Black t-shirt with two linked images. The front shows Christ's empty tomb viewed from above, his burial linens left inside. A haloed messenger above points upward, finger raised in proclamation. Below reads HIC·SURREXIT — "Here, he rose."
The back shows a skull centered among six ribbon scrolls bearing the Latin admonition: QUIDQUID AGAS PRUDENTER AGAS ET RESPICE FINEM / COGITA MORI — "Whatever you do, act prudently and keep the end in view / Remember you will die."
THE STATEMENT
This pairing turns the shirt into a walking theological claim. What's on your back is what follows you: mortality, the human condition, the end you cannot overcome on your own. What's on your chest proclaims the triumph of Christ: the empty tomb, the defeat of death, resurrection as your forward direction.
